Since I stopped working for the NHS in 2010, I have met an awful lot of artists with mental health issues. Many tell me that they are too ill to work on their art, they just don’t know where to start, while others tell me that one of the main problems is that they have no where to work. I’ve been told by the artists that they would benefit enormously from just having a little studio space in which to work in, even a corner of a room and a safe place to work.

My over all aim of 4 Calm is to eventually set up a charity or CIO (not for profits organisation) and provide low cost studio space for artists with mental health issues.

In 2017, I paid a solicitor £400 of my own money to try to set up a CIO. Eventually my depression became so great at having spent £400 I had to shelve the whole project.

This page is dedicated to those who have donated. I would like, when funds allow, to provide a crowdfunding page where I will give rewards for people who make bigger donations, for example t-shirts, pictures, art, visits to the studio and such things.
